How do I convince my mother to let me wear tank tops?

I'm 13 and almost every teen girl I see is wearing a really cool tank top. When I first asked my mom if I could wear one she said no, the middle part is too low. I really didn't care about that because I just liked the style. I kept on asking my mom and she said I would look like a prostetot. I'm like, why do these companies make these tops if every teen girl is going to look like a little prostetot. I just want to grow up a little more and wear what everyone else is wearing. She also says it makes my breasts look bigger, SO? She shouldn't care what other people think they're not gonna care about what I'm wearing! She said if I could find a tank top that wasn't too low I could wear it, but I would have to wear something underneath it. Big help. How do I convince her? I'm sick of t-shirts!
She says I can wear one when I move out of the house. Why the hell is she doing this? I'm not a baby anymore! I am a teenager, I want to wear clothes that they all wear.

I think that the best tank tops for your situation would be the Old Navy ones. They have them in like every size form kids xtra small to womens xxL. Not that you'll be needing that. But they don't go down to low, and they don't show off a lot of skin. If you have an old navy near you, you should ask if your mom can take you to one, and you can try it on. They are perfect to layer with one another. Good luck!
