How can people know when the world will be end if they believe in the Bible?
Please read James 4:14 whereas YOU do not know what YOUR life will be tomorrow. For YOU are a mist appearing for a little while and then disappearing. (NWT) / You don't know what will happen tomorrow. Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away. (ERV).
So, my point is if people said, "The world will be end at 2014." and they didn't create the earth but God did.
So if they (people) aren't God then how in the world did they know when the time is end?
I know only God know when but we don't.

A very good question. I have heard 2012, 2035, 2050 and the list goes on and on. Since our source of truth is the scriptures, let's look up a few and see what understanding we can get.
This is Job speaking of God in Job 26:10; He has described a circle upon the face of the waters, To where light ends in darkness.
Interesting that he is basically saying that the earth was round. Makes you realize that through the "dark ages" when the average person could not even look at a bible let alone own one, everyone thought the earth was flat. In fact, if you argued that, you were considered crazy. There it was right in the bible.
We are also told 'know one knows the day or hour ONLY the father". At the same time we are told in Matthew 24:32 "Now learn from the fig tree as an illustration this point: Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near." vs 34 ...this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.
