Sansone Walk
Sansone Walk

How long before I add an extra mile to my walk?
I am about 30 pounds overweight and in my late 40's. I haven't exercised a lot over the past decade. I started the one mile walk with Leslie Sansone this past week and did really great. Some of my friends suggested that I continue to walk the mile for two more weeks before moving up to the two mile walk. Does this sound reasonable?
Listen to your body.
If the 1 mile walk becomes easier to do, and if by the end of it, you feel capable of doing more, then it's time to go up to the next level.
If you attempt the next level & feel you are unable to complete it, don't get too concerned. The important thing is that you've made some progress & you can set yourself the goal of completing the full 2 miles.
Pay attention to how your body feels, it may take a few exercise sessions to achieve the full 2 miles, but you will reach that goal.
And once you have done that, it's time to set yourself a new challenge.
This philosophy applies to any exercise program.
As long as you are consistantly challenging yourself, you will continue to get fitter & stronger.
