Back Tank

Plumbers? My toliet won't fill with water in the back tank?

I have to pull up the "arm" in the back tank on my toilet to get it to fill?? Any advice?

normally if You lift the float arm which has a float ball, the water is supposed to stop, if the water fills in this position suggest the float arm May be worn and need new arm with the ball, which comes with differ ant material like, metal, plastic, brass or copper. make sure you close the main valve below the tank first before any attempt is made to replace.
